How we function

At Saksham, we tell the children to dream

We reinforce their aspirations for a better life

We emphasize that destiny is nothing else but determination , hard work , honesty of purpose and a belief in one's self and one's intentions.

Most of all , we try to create an atmosphere of love and a genuine empathy for the compulsions, deprivations and needs of the children.

Easy access, flexibility of attendance , flexibility of timings, an unintimidating atmosphere are some of the aspects that have contributed to the success of this project.

We also teach them to share what they have received and take this work onward.

Our senior students , now enrolled in other schools, teach the tiny tots, after their regular school hours.

The senior students continue to be supported by Saksham, by way of fees, medical help, supplementary classes etc.
